Alignment to your target
First, picture how you set up to play a full swing.
Do you place your feet first, then address the ball? Wrong!
You should first picture your target then draw a line in your mind’s eye back to the ball and square your clubface to the imaginary line. You should then stand to the ball without altering the clubface or shaft. If you have followed this procedure, you should find that the line from your target to the face of your club is the correct line, and your feet should be parallel to this. (Remember the railway track).
