How to play the Old Course: The 6th/15th - 386yds - Par 4
Tee shot: If you want to go for broke, get the Big Dog out and aim just left of the far bunker, preferably with a little bit of draw. If you prefer the safety of a three-shot strategy, then aim for the bunkers with just a long iron or a rescue or a 5-wood, whichever is your preference, as the bunkers start just 187 yards from the yellows. DON'T FORGET to look at the pin position board on the tee!
Tee variation: This is the stunning view from the 15th Ladies Tee. In many ways an easier tee shot because it straightens and shortens the hole, but not one for those of a nervous disposition!
2nd shot: From the perfect landing spot you will have 120-170 yards to go. Bearing in mind that this is one of the longest greens on the Old Course, remember to adjust your club selection according to the pin position on the day.
Putting: A very long green which slopes very slightly from back to front and some very challenging borrows when the pin is positioned back left!
